I never understood the hatred towards the C4 corvette. It's not like it doesn't look like a corvette, because it does. Maybe it is because of the early malaise V8s.

The thing is, it wasn't slow, even to today's standard. It might not have much power, but it has a lot of torque and not a lot of weight behind it.

Agreed. I love the C4 'Vette. Most of the hatred towards the C4 is because of the '84 model, which had the Crossfire Injection System. But even those were incredibly state of the art cars when they came out. And unlike the C3, the C4 progressively got better. Eh, whatever. Hopefully people will realize one day before most of them are tossed away :(

I've always loved the C4. Secretly my favorite Corvette bodystyle.

Pop up headlights! Digital dash!

And yes, I think "early malaise V8s" explains much of the hatred.

It sure seemed fast enough when I drove one at 17, however.
